This original painting was so much fun to create. As the painting took form on canvas, I came to a point where I felt “boxed in” with the idea I originally had in my mind. I decided to open up by layering in loose accents with a palette knife. As I laid down these textured strokes, I felt the movement come alive with this beautiful baroque style horse. My motions became more quick and forceful as I wanted to almost feel the power of harnessing the collection of his frame. I fell in love with the end result and I hope you do too!
